Distance Learning
FHS Distance Learning Plan
Please read for important information about our plan at FHS to implement Distance Learning during Governor Walz’s Executive Order to close schools until at least May 4th. While this is not the spring that anyone was anticipating, I feel the need to share how impressed I have been with our staff’s response. I know there is some level of angst in all of us, but there hasn’t been much evidence of that here at FHS.

FHS Course Registration 2020-21
Starting Monday, January 13th the high school counselors will visit the middle schools to begin the 2020-21, registration process. On Wednesday, January 15th, current FHS students will begin registering for classes. Registration for grades 10-12 will be done online, but both digital and paper copies of the registration guide and materials are available. FHS Winter Conferences 2020
FHS Winter Conferences are here! They will take place at Farmington High School on Thursday, January 16th from 1:30pm - 7:00pm. The Winter conferences are especially important because they fall smack dab in the middle of registration for the 2020-2021 school year. It is a great opportunity to come and learn more about classes, or ask questions if you have any. During the conference night, we have a couple of presentations for you to learn more about particular programs and topics. The counselors are also available for drop in questions about registration or future planning.

Fall Conferences
Fall Conferences are Here!
At FHS, we feel there is extreme value in face-to-face conferences, so we have created multiple opportunities to do so. Our fall conferences are an open conferences format, with teachers in their classrooms. For those new to the high school, this means there is no appointment needed, and you can meet with any and all of your student’s teachers during the time provided. I would recommend bringing your student with you, but it is not necessary.
