Welcome to FHS
Farmington High School was built in 2009. FHS is located about 25 miles south of the Twin Cities metro area in the city of Farmington located in central Dakota County.
With a capacity of 2,300 students and nearly 500,000 square feet of interior instructional, athletic, and fine arts performance space, FHS incorporates some of the latest school-design features in an eco-friendly, light-filled instructional environment that serves as a learning and amenity rich environment for students, parents, and community members alike.
ATHLETICS
Athletics play an important role in supporting student wellness, teamwork, and leadership at Farmington High School. The FHS Athletics Department offers 30 varsity sports, along with junior varsity, B-squad, and 9th-grade opportunities. FHS competes in the South Suburban Conference and is a member of the Minnesota State High School League (Region 1AA), providing meaningful competitive experiences for student-athletes.
CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Over 15 co-curricular activities and clubs are offered at the high school. Leadership, academic, and fine arts are all included in the wide variety of programs offered, including: Link Crew, Tiger Leadership Club, Diversity Club, National Honor Society, Student Council, Youth Development, BPA, FCCLA, Mock Trial, Speech Club, One Act Play, Spring Musical, Robotics, Marching Band, Peers for Peers, FFA, and Yearbook.

Farmington High School offers 200+ courses across 13 areas of study, blending college-prep, career and technical education, and college partnerships to expand student choice.
Our curriculum supports post-secondary readiness while providing personalized learning experiences enhanced through technology.
