Happy New Year 2021!

Catch up with what is happening at Farmington High School by checking out Highlights, the new monthly (or so) publication recapping some of the great things going on.  With Farmington High School having over 2,000 students, we have things to celebrate almost every day.  Here is what has been happening so since the last update:

FHS continues in our full time distance learning and teachers have been tweaking and responding to student needs along the way.  When we eventually get back to hybrid or full time in person learning, we know our teachers will be SO HAPPY to see the kids.

Given the new executive order, things seem to be starting to open up.  Athletes practices and hopefully competitions, will be starting back up in January.  We are also in the planning stages to get some kids back into the building.  We are moving carefully, but confidently as we see our COVID numbers continue to decline in Dakota County and Farmington.

We know the pandemic has presented many obstacles for students and parents to overcome so our wonderful district counselors created a series of parent webinars to help navigate this stressful time. Throughout January, counselors from the middle and high school levels will be available to offer some tips to support parents through distance learning. Upcoming dates and topics can be found on the flyer attached: Parent Ed Flyer 2-2.pdf

Last but not least, we have created some great websites for our parents and students to access resources.  Both have been popular and we will continue to add to them to share information and resources.

The FHS Senior Guide: This is our first ever senior guide that provides a one stop shop for seniors and parents of seniors.
