This is the image for the news article titled FHS Winter Conferences 2019FHS Winter Conferences are coming up on Thursday, January 17th from 1:30pm - 7:00pm.  The Winter conferences are especially important because they fall smack dab in the middle of registration for the 2019-2020 school year.  It is a great opportunity to come and learn more about classes, or ask questions if you have any.  During the conference night, we have a number of presentations for you to learn more about particular programs and topics.  

FHS Conferences are open house format with teachers conducting conferences in their classrooms.  If you need a copy of your student’s schedule or if you are having troubling finding any teachers, please see us in the 2nd floor office. The winter conferences are particularly important as they are aligned with registering for the 2019-2020 school year.  

Presentations/Informational Sessions (All optional)
College Credit Options Informational Meeting 
Time:  5:00 - 5:45 PM: 
Location:  Lecture Hall (below the grand staircase)
Notes: This session is including, but not limited to, post-secondary educational options (PSEO)

MNCAPS Informational Meeting for parents/students 
Time:  5:45 - 6:30 PM: 
Location:  Lecture Hall (below the grand staircase)
Notes: Mr. Sill, from MNCAPS will be here to answer any and all questions about MNCAPS after the informational session.

8th Grade Parent Meeting
Time:  5:30 - 6:15 PM
Location:  Recital Hall
Notes: Mr. Pickens and some FHS counselors will be discussing the general mission of the High School as well as common questions about registration for incoming 9th graders.  There will be a more detailed presentation next Fall during schedule pick-up. 

Tiger House Meeting in the Recital Hall
Time:  6:15 - 7:00 PM
Location:  Recital Hall
Notes:  FHS staff and Mrs. Pierce will share and answer questions about a new learning opportunity that will begin in the fall of the 2019-20 school year. Tiger House is an experiential learning community whereby through the learning process students and staff are invested in relationships and mutual purpose, engaging students in self-discovery and reflection on their lifelong learning.  See the Student Registration Guide for more information or join us for the discussion.
