FHS Students excel at National Business Professionals of America Conference

Farmington High School students recently competed at the National Business Professionals of America (BPA) Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California with over 5,500 other students from 22 states. The conference spanned May 6-10 and included competitions, leadership development, workshops, National Officer elections, area tours and more. Here are the competition results:

  • Kyra Lucke place 19th in the nation in the category of Keyboarding Production.
  • Kayli McGee competed in the final round and placed 5th in the nation in the category of Interview Skills. McGee placed 45th in the nation in the category of Advanced Accounting.
  • Emily Larsen placed 32nd in the nation in the category of Fundamental Word Processing.
  • Olinka Regules Verduzco competed in the final round and placed 4th in the nation in the category of Prepared Speech.

Bobbi Stewart, the group’s advisor, commented on the trip, “The students represented Farmington High School in both a professional and positive manner throughout the conference.”
