The FHS FIRST Robotics team competed in the Minnesota 10,000 Lakes Regional competition at Williams arena and had its most successful year yet! Sixty-three teams from across the globe, including two teams from China, competed in this year's game called Recycle Rush.  The object of the game was to stack totes and recycling containers with optional “litter” points for placing pool noodles in the recycling containers.

Here is a video of the FHS team (#2987) competing:

After 9 qualifying rounds, FHS came in ranked #12 and formed a 3 team alliance with Roseville High School and Bloomington Jefferson High School for the finals. The alliance advanced to the quarterfinals. Farmington placed 5th overall for the competition. This was the highest FHS as ever placed!

The robotics team put in countless hours designing, building, programming, scouting, and fundraising over the course of the entire school year to make this happen. The district, school, and especially the team advisers are extremely proud of the way the students not only competed, but represented the school and the community at the 3 day regional competition.

The robotics advisers are Dave Stauffer & Spencer Elvebak.
